Republican State Senator from Greenwich, CT, Ryan Fazio, has just introduced a bill to prohibit illegal immigrants from receiving taxpayer-funded benefits and social welfare.
It is estimated that CT taxpayers pay over $1.2 billion per year on these programs.
Purpose? To reduce the tax burden on lawful residents
Between the lines: How likely is this to be passed by the Democrat run trifecta - house, senate, governor - of CT. We can only hope and applaud Ryan Fazio for his efforts.
