Selectmen Camillo fights back Greenwich Democratic Party claims that he reneged on promise to fund the Glenville project. Camillo says they are playing politics.
There are 2 Glenville projects (1) a “sidewalk” from Glenville Road to Hawthorne in the Town budget at $150,000 scheduled to start Spring 2024 and (2) a larger Glenville Corridor Project funded by a Federal CMAQ grant of $3 million but not in the current budget since the cost estimate is now $4 million (and that doesn’t even include undergrounding utilities!)
Camillo’s Glenville Dog Park plan sparked neighborhood backlash about priorities, demanding projects that prioritize village safety improvements come first. Camillo’s statements were confusing but he clarified them.
