Former President Donald Trump received overwhelming support from all states at the Republican National Convention yesterday. All 28 of CT's delegates voted in favor.
In announcing the vote, CT Republican Party Chairman Ben Pronto spoke from the floor saying "Connecticut, the Constitution State, the Arsenal of Democracy and home of the two-time, and soon to be three-time, NCAA men's basketball champion UCONN Huskies, proudly casts its votes". On the stage, a multitude of screens displayed CT landmarks such as Yale University, the Connecticut River and the state Capitol building in Hartford.
Between the lines: CT can take credit for Trump's Vice President pick - J.D. Vance. He is a graduate of Yale Law School in New Haven.
