At last Tuesday's Byram Neighborhood Association quarterly meeting concerns were raised:
New Lebanon School parking lot. In the evening, the parking lot is lit and used for skateboarders doing tricks, motorcyclists doing wheelies, cars speeding and doing donuts, loud music, etc. The contributed pictures in this story are fantastic.
Traffic Congestion. The newly completed six story Tarry Lighthouse in Port Chester fills an entire block just over the Mill Street Bridge. Concerns were raised about traffic into Byram with proposals made to close the bridge or make traffic one way.
Other issues raised. Lack of visibility through the windows of smoke shops; illegal parkers who want to quick drop off students, run into the Firehouse Deli or visit one of the smoke shops; speeding enforcement; and illegal fireworks.
Between the Lines: Greenwich First Selectman Camillo mentioned the possiblity of assigning a bicycle officer to Byram and Old Greenwich.
