CT expands health coverage to even more undocumented children

As of July 1, CT now provides health care benefits under HUSKY to undocumented immigrants under the age of 15.  In 2021, CT granted health coverage to undocumented immigrants under the age of 12.  The law took effect in January 2023 with a maximum age of 12 covering 12,000 children.  Coverage includes regular checkups with physicians as well as dental care and eye care visits.

CT lawmakers led by Democrat Senate President Pro-Tempore Martin Looney said the goal is to eventually raise the age for coverage even higher.  New Haven’s role as sanctuary city provides a mandate to protect undocumented immigrants.

Between the lines – No wonder overburdened taxpayers are leaving CT and undocumented immigrants are flooding in.
