Pedestrian car crash deaths in Connecticut number 57 so far this year, the highest the State has had in decades. The CT Department of Transportation says it's been a "brutal year" on our roadways for pedestrians.
Pedestrians, don't use phones while walking near traffic.
Drivers, remember when you took drivers ed and were taught to drive defensively.
Between the lines: Authorities are adding cameras, license plate readers and speed bumps, but let's make sure everyone on the road has a legal license and is able to read road signs.
