Many have criticized President Trump's tough interaction with Ukrainian President Zelensky at the White House last week. We are now learning, however, that Zelensky was advised to reject Trump's proposed mineral deal at a meeting held an hour earlier by anti-Trump Democrats including our CT State Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal.
CT Murphy posted on X: “Just finished a meeting with President Zelensky here in Washington. He confirmed that the Ukrainian people will not support a fake peace agreement where Putin gets everything he wants and there are no security arrangements for Ukraine,” Murphy attached a picture of Zelensky at a conference table with Murphy sitting on the other side.
Forty minutes later, Zelensky arrived at the White House, where the meeting quickly went off the rails.
