Eastern Civic Center expected to open in April with two new gifts

Two benefactors have come forward with contributions to the soon-to-open Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center. One is a gift from Scott and Icy Frantz toward a new gymnasium that will bear the name the Frantz Gymnasium.
The other gift is from the Red Men's Association for a flag pole that will be lit up in the front of the center.
These gifts are subject to approval by the town's legislative body, the Representative Town Meeting (RTM).
Between the Lines: The civic center was originally expected to open last year, the Selectman now said it would be the first week of April. Can't wait.
