On Monday, CT Republicans told Fox News that they have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate whether election crimes in Bridgeport are part of a larger, coordinated effort to defraud voters statewide. Republicans claim that two new election reform bills drafted by Democrats in response to the latest indictments (SB 1515 establishing a new state election board and SB 1516 expanding post-election procedures), "miss the mark."
In this video, Jesse Watters of Fox News Digital asks "Is Wanda, one of the indicted ballot stuffers in CT, the bug in the system or is she the system?" See the video here.
"Connecticut has made embarrassing international news for absentee ballot fraud caught on viral video," according to State Senator Rob Sampson (R-Wolcott) and Senate Minority Leader Stephen Harding (R-Brookfield). "The two bills presented are totally inadequate, residents know it and so does this nation," said House Minority leader Vincent Candelora (R- East Haven).
Between the Lines: So far, Democrats have shown no appetite for making serous reforms. Hmmm.
