Glenville Stop & Shop to become DeCicco & Sons

At the site of the former Glenville Stop & Shop that closed one year ago, grocery chain DeCicco & Sons is preparing to open. Founded in 1973, family run De Cicco & Sons operates 11 stores in Westchester County, NY and this will be its first store in CT.  Their website says they offer the largest selection of high-quality food available to customers with a friendly, personal touch.

Between the lines: This location has been an empty eyesore for over one year. Good news for Glenville.
