
Richard and Lynne Pasculano donated a substantial gift of $5 million to Greenwich Library to support its global speaker series. They are also supporters of the New York Public Library and the Lincoln Center.
Lynne is the only child of Harry Lebensfeld who launched UIS (United Industrial Syndicate) in 1945 that became a conglomerate of 20 manufacturing, auto parts and candy companies. UIS, still controls New England Confectionary, maker of Necco Wafers, "Be Mine" Valentine Hearts and Mary Janes.
The Greenwich Library Signature Series recently featured journalist and author Thomas Friedman. Past speakers include journalist, editor and author Tina Brown; filmmaker Pete McBride; journalist and author Mark Bittman and journalst Fareed Zakaria.
