Greenwich and other police departments throughout Fairfield County have been investigating a spree of motor vehicle thefts in recent days. On Wednesday, February 12, Yamari Dior Davis, age 18, of New Britain, CT was one of three suspects arrested.
The thieves' vehicle was spotted by police driving on East Elm Street in central Greenwich. When two police vehicles attempted to stop the thieves, they rammed their vehicle into the police vehicles before recklessly fleeing and then crashing on I-95 in Norwalk. Yamari Dior Davis was one of at least three suspects who fled on foot from the crash. Davis was identified by his clothing and his "unique shoe impression in the snow."
