Greenwich police arrest youths driving stolen Cadillac in Riverside


Early Saturday morning at 2:40 am August 24, Greenwich Police arrested four youths driving a stolen cadillac sedan. The police spotted the vehicle at a Mobil Station in the Riverside section of East Putnam Avenue and attempted to apprehend the suspects. The suspects have beed identified as Anthony Palacios, 20 yrs old from Waterbury, CT, two 17 year old juveniles from Stamford, CT and one 16 year old from Bridgeport. Palacios was in possession of a fradulent Pennsylvania driver's license.


When spotted by police, the suspects engaged in a high speed chase, but the officers successfully disabled the vehicle using a tire deflation device called spike strips on East Putnam Avenue. The suspects fled on foot until apprehended. A Greenwich sergeant suffered a minor injury and has been released from the hospital.
