If yours was one of 28 vehicles parked at the Riverside train station on September 3 when the Town of Greenwich was doing milling and paving work, the Board of Selectmen voted that you will be reimbursed. Why? Signs were up the week before alerting commuters to closure, but on the day of the work, the lot was open with no visible sign.
The cost to tow was $260 per car. Only eight people have requested reimbursement so far.
Between the lines: It's a Christmas gift from Greenwich taxpayers.
