On Saturday night February 1 around 11 pm, Hector Estrella, 28, of Greenwich was arrested. He was traveling erratically on I-95 North near Exit 5 (Riverside/Old Greenwich) with a missing tire and emitting large plumes of smoke. Estrella told police he had consumed alcohol and smoked cannabis before driving.
Between the lines: Police reported that Estrella was unaware that he was driving a car with a missing tire! Welcome to Connecticut where recreational cannabis has been legal since July 2021.
