Jealous Greenwich police officer arrested for conduct involving a female officer

On March 27, Greenwich police officer Steven Caldwell was arrested for a March 22 dispute with a female police officer while off-duty. Caldwell, a Greenwich native and 2003 Greenwich High School graduate joined the Greenwich police department in 2021 after serving in the Bridgeport police department.
Caldwell had a romantic relationship with the female officer and became angry when the female officer began dating one of Caldwell's friends. A dispute ensued that resulted in Caldwell pushing the female officer and taking her phone to retrieve text messages.
Caldwell "put the phone in the crotch of his pants at one point, "telling her that if she wanted it back, she would have to come and take it." He was charged with larceny, breach of peace, disorderly conduct and computer crime.
