Largest ever Greenwich budget approved in record time

In one of the shortest meetings on record, the RTM (Representative Town Meeting) overwhelming approved a $501 million budget, the largest in Greenwich history.  No cuts were made to the budget covering fiscal year ending June 2025.  The budget is a +4% increase over last year and the mill rate will likely increase by +2.8%.  However, the record size of upcoming capital expenditures will make it nearly impossible to keep tax increases modest in the future.
