Primary day in Riverside, Cos Cob, Glenville, Harbor and Byram Districts - Update

Updated March 7: Based on preliminary results, the "Old Guard" Camillo Republicans netted 4 new seats out of 20 in contention - a good victory for the Old Guard but not enough to avoid working together with the "New Guard" RTC Republicans. A near historic turnout of 37% of Republicans voted, meaning that the Republican base is highly engaged. Look to March 27 when the election for RTC leadership will determine who will lead our local Republican Party in battling the real opponents - the Democrats.

March 5 Post: A primary election has been scheduled for March 5 from 6 am to 8pm for five districts in Town for the Republican Town Committee (RTC).

The elections are only for registered Republicans who live in District 2 (Byram), District 4 (Harbor), District 5 (Riverside), District 8 (Cos Cob) and District 9 (Glenville).

The Republican Town Committee (RTC) is recommending a slate of conservative Republican candidates here; while a splinter group backed by Selectmen Fred Camillo and Lauren Rabin is putting forward a slate of more moderate Democrat-collaborating candidates here.
