Supporting men in women's sports, CT Attorney General out of touch with CT

Yesterday, President Trump issued an executive order here to block federal funds from educational programs that permit biological men, using gender identity, to participate in women's sports.

Connecticut Democrat Attorney General Tong came out fighting against this order and issued a statement here defending the right of transgender men to participate in women's sports and personal spaces. He called Trump's executive order mean-spirited and deeply harmful to transgender individuals.

This is a strange position for the Attorney General to take, in light of the number of CT citizens who are against the distortion of Title IX and who favor separate spaces for biological women in sports and locker rooms. From Greenwich alone, a number of residents have been impacted:

Donna DeVarona - Olympic gold medal swimmer, a force behind the creation of the original Title IX and against the distortion of it permitting gender identity.

Megyn Kelly - famous Fox news host who has been outspoken about protecting women in sports and locker rooms.

Paula Scanlan - UPenn swimmer who was forced to share a locker room and compete on the same team as Lia Thomas, a man who identified as female.

Between the lines: Has anyone reminded the CT Attorney General that the overwhelming majority of his constituents are against biological men in women's spaces and that he will come up for re-election in November 2026?
