The league of Women Voters opened the webinar by saying "they do not support any candidate for public office", yet their Climate Change webinar of Feb 26, did just that. The two speakers were Senator Chris Murphy (who is running for re-election in Nov) and the other speaker was an anti-trump Republican (calling Trump in the interview "a death angel"). In this interview, Chris Murphy had these words to say about Republicans:
"The Republican Party has become more radicalized every year;" "Republican Party is headed in wrong direction;" "We have a hard time finding a single Republican in the Senate to join us:" "If Trump is elected, we may not have enough time to stop greenhouse emissions."
There was nothing "bi-partisan" about this event. It was high on partisanship and low on education.
