On Wednesday around 3 pm, three men were arrested on Greenwich Avenue for engaging in bank fraud. Akeem Dennis, 26, of Bronx, NY; Patrick Melverton Blake, 59, of Brentwood, NY; and Joab Alexander Taylor, 33, of Stamford, were charged. The men fraudulently deposited a counterfeit chack and then withdrew a portion of it. A search of the vehicle revealed $7,000 in cash in the rear passenger door pocket.
Between the lines: Why are Greenwich financial institutions so attractive to out of town thieves? Because that's where the money is.
