Vehicle carjacked at Greenwich Sunoco Station

On Sunday, January 13, around 2 pm, a Land Rover was carjacked at the Sunoco Station, 510 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich at the corner of Field Point Road near Greenwich High School. The car owner had just finished filling up and went into the convenience store. The thieves pulled up in their own vehicle, one of them jumped into the victim's vehicle and both vehicles then took off toward I-95.

The police remind us to never leave a vehicle unlocked with keys anytime you exit your vehicle whether at a gas station, car wash, or just for a minute whiler running into a store for anything.

Between the Lines - There have been multiple recent vehicle thefts across the region, including at the Old Greenwich Shell Station on January 3 that was done by a gang of thieves who operated in Connecticut and New York. We are still wiaitng for their identities.
